Fri, 16 February 2007 In celebration of Black History Month, Mike
Estes appears to discuss with us, Black Freethought from the 1900's to
1950's. We will look at many of the very influential black
freethinkers, unknown to most, that were involved in the civil rights
movement and black intellectualism.A memorable quote from the show: "That is our tradition! A tradition of educating ourselves and beating the odds and mastering the rules that white society have put on us, and once you master those rules then you can change the rules." - Mike Estes - Speaking out in response to those that don't find value in speaking the white man's English well. ~ Consider keeping us on the air by making a monthly pledge ~ Direct download: Tape405_Early_Black_Freethought.mp3 Category: Society and Culture -- posted at: 1:10 AM Comments[2] |
Wed, 14 February 2007 Reverend Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church forgot that we had an interview this day, but his daughter connected me with Tim Phelps. Boy oh boy! I'm glad Fred didn't appear, I wouldn't have gotten a word in. We focus on homosexuality in the bible, and why God hates "fags" and America. Tim says some pretty harsh things about gays. No surprise he's been assaulted "hundreds of times".Their sites: GodHatesFags.com GodHatesAmerica.com Direct download: Tape201_Tim_Phelps_God_Hates_Fags.mp3 Category: Miscellaneous -- posted at: 1:01 PM Comments[4] |
Thu, 8 February 2007 Dr. Charles Goodman,
professor of eastern philosophy at Binghamton University, reappears on
the program to discuss why atheists should believe the doctrine that
there is no such thing as an individual self. Goodman's last program
was a hit, when he discussed Buddhism and the Buddhist's rejection of
the existence of God.Discuss at the Official Infidel Guy Podcast Site ~ Keep It Free - Pledge $10.00/month ~ Don't forget, you can check out my libsyn.com feed to download shows. Thu, 8 February 2007 Mr. Kent Hovind of (DrDino.com)
appeared to debate whether or not evolution is true and also discuss
the truth of Christianity. This program
was a point/counterpoint style
discussion/debate in which about a dozen listeners called in to challenge or
support Hovind on his claims. This was
a special 2 hour program designed to allow visitors and supporters of
InfidelGuy.com to take Hovind on. IG stayed out of the way most
of the time to allow the callers a say.* Unfortunately.. we didn't get a chance to discuss Christianity at all. In fact, Hovind claims it's faith anyway.. so not much to discuss on the issue anyway. I hope enjoy another blast from the past. Direct download: Tape237_kenthovind_vs_infidelguy_com.mp3 Category: Interviews -- posted at: 4:04 PM Comments[0] |
